Mananthavadi State Assembly Constituency is one of the 140 state assembly constituencies in Kerala. It is one of the 7 state assembly constituencies included in the Mananthavadi Lok Sabha constituency. Mananthavadi Municipality, 6 Gram Panchayats namely Tavinjal, Tirunelli, Thondarnad, Vellamunda, Panamaram, and Edavaka and two Block Panchayats namely Mananthavadi and Panamaram are included in Mananthavadi Mandal. Also Sub Collector Office, DMO, District Hospital, District Jail, North Wayanad Forest Division Office, Women Important institutions like the Development Corporation Office, Government Medical College, Government Engineering College, B.Sc Nursing College, General Nursing School, Government College, Government ITI, Government Polytechnic, IHRD College, ASAP Skill Park, Government Technical High School, Important educational and higher educational institutions like Government Institute for Fashion Technology, Budd's School and Vocational High Secondary School are located in the constituency. Tirunelli Temple known as South Kashi, Pazhassikutira, Pazhassi Park, Vallioorkav Temple where the Wayanadine Mahotsavam is held, Kungichira Museum, Ancient Jain Temples, Muneeswaran Hill, Tholpetty Wildlife Sanctuary, Kurua Island, Bird Sanctuary, Brahmagiri Hills, City Forest are also located in the tourist area. Mananthavadi constituency is a constituency that shares border with Karnataka state and Kozhikode and Kannur districts. Representing the Communist Party of India (Marxist) since 2016, O.R.
